I have been saved by silicone, and not that I had silicone implants or anything. It all started a few months ago, I had tried an Egg Muffin recipe and it was a complete EPIC fail. Not that the Egg Muffin itself was bad, but I couldn’t get the entire muffin out of the tin. Even with coating the entire tin with baking spray, soaking it, chiseled it, scrapped with a metal brush, nothing would take this egg mess off of my tin. I finally gave up and threw the cupcake tin away. Then I received the opportunity to review The Simple Baker’s Silicone Rainbow Cupcake Holders. They’re absolutely adorable, the colors are vibrant, and I couldn’t wait to try them out.
We first made cupcakes to see how they’d work out, since I’ve never baked anything in silicone before. They turned out great and were super easy to pop right out of the cupcake holder.
With the way the cupcakes came out, I was eager to try these silicone cupcake holders with the Egg Muffin recipe. I used the following recipe:
