For Father’s Day this year, I bought Todd a Keurig machine.. He spends a ridiculous amount of money at a little coffee shop near his office, so I thought this way he’d be able to enjoy coffee on his way to work. He loves his Keurig, the kids love the Keurig since they now can make hot cocoa at the push of a button, and I love the Keurig as well for iced coffee treats! We use the standard K-cups, mostly Starbucks, but were willing to venture and try some new flavors and brands. When I saw Greater Goods C-Pods were compatible like the K-cups, I thought it’d interesting to try.
Greater Goods, has gone to great lengths to create the best 1.0- and 2.0-compatible single-serve coffee. They responsibly source the finest premium grade coffee beans, roast them to perfection, and then pack them into eco-friendly c-pods instead of plastic cups. Their pods work with most Keurig brewers just like a regular k-cup would, only using less plastic. Each serving brews through a filter, creating less waste and a better-tasting cup of coffee.
TASTING NOTES: Their Breakfast Blend is a light roast with a bright, floral, and clean flavor. This blend of South and Central American coffees is slow-roasted to a mild yet full flavor that will gently ease you into your day. Only the top 2% of all Arabica coffee beans worldwide make it into our c-pods. 100% Arabica beans, gluten-free, and certified Kosher.
C-PODS VS K-CUPS: The innovative cupless design of our pods uses a filter instead of plastic, improving extraction and giving you a richer, fuller cup of coffee. These pods are delivered in nitrogen-flushed, 99% oxygen-free bags, so they stay as fresh as possible on the way to your door.
COMPATIBILITY: Their single-serve c-pods are compatible with most k-cup single-serve brewers, including Keurig 1.0, Keurig 2.0, Cuisinart, Breville, and Mr. Coffee brewers. Not compatible with Keurig Vue or Rivo.
CHARITY: Greater Goods is a proud supporter of Pure Earth, an international organization that is working to identify and clean up toxic pollution in the poorest communities throughout the developing world.
I typically like light flavored coffee, but Todd enjoys a stronger flavor.. This was in the middle for us, Todd brewed his cup on “strong”, where I brewed mine regular. We both like the flavor, it’s mild. The c-pod worked just as well as the k-pod, I was nervous to try it at first. Seeing that our machine is new to us and this wasn’t a standard k-cup, I was nervous that I’d break something. This worked just fine and I would recommend these, not only for the great flavor but also for what the company stands behind.
