Brush Those Tears Away

My daughter, Haleigh, refers to herself as one of the Disney princesses on a daily basis. Lately she’s favoring one particular princess and that’s Tangled. We don’t call the princess by her actual name Rapunzel, but we call her Tangled here in the Youse House. Haleigh will say that “I have Tangled’s hair”, and she is just super proud of how long her hair is. The downside of having long hair, at least for a 3 year old, is when mommy has to brush her hair. Let the whining, crying, running and hiding begin.  You would think I was pulling teeth or something, it’s just awful. I cannot imagine what it’s going to be like when she starts Kindergarten.. Sometimes I think she’s 3 going on 13.

To avoid tangles, I do use Johnson and Johnson’s tear free shampoo. It works out great, especially when you have to brush their hair after a bath.  I usually use a comb to work out those tangles, I think it works better, on wet hair. I used The Hair Genie on Haleigh’s wet hair, and I liked how it worked on dry hair a bit better. Still went through her hair with ease, but I’ve always preferred using a comb rather a brush on wet hair. Just my personal preference.

As you can see, with just one brush through there are wonderful results.. No tears, no tugs!  After the second time through her hair is shiny and extremely smooth!  If you have someone in your house who suffers from tears with brushing, this is an excellent solution!  I absolutely recommend using the Hair Genie to brush those tears away!!
